This is the introduction to some of the tools I have used to help people grow their businesses and make them more profitable. I think one of the most difficult facets of my service is explaining why measuring systems and analysis are so vital. Most of the time a business owner knows that there are variables that contribute to their business success but what they don't know is the tools that can be used to give them a competitive advantage. How to explain that strategic analysis, sophisticated matrixes, iterations and algorithyms will help improve marketing, increase sales, maximize profits, reduce costs, etc. is more difficult than the math itself. I learned early on in my career as a consultant working with all of those small businesses (see my carrer) that three things make a business owner listen: Facts -- Practicle Examples -- Bottom Line Performance. I will approach all three in each of the case studies that illustrate some of the ways an analyst can help you plan, organize, launch, and grow your business. From the business plan through the marketing plan, the right measures will keep you profitable.
The case study will show the practical example of statistical tools that are used to identify performance, solve problems, and prevent chasing one's own tail. The math stuff is omitted because who wants to read a bunch of boring syphering? However, matrixes, charts and graphs, and tables are shown because it improves the understanding when you can see the facts.
